Our 400BB, now known as the Blue Moon Bullet Space Pen, features a vibrant blue translucent finish, calling to mind the numerous mysterious and dark blue nebulae of our vast galaxy. A color this eye-catching truly does only come around once in a blue moon!

The inspiration behind the name of our 400PP, now known as the Purple Haze Bullet Space Pen, comes from the purple stratospheric haze that glows around Titan, Saturn’s largest moon.  A beautiful interaction of gases and particles colliding nearly 350 miles above Titan’s surface culminates in a haunting violet glow. (Though in full disclosure, we are also fans of Jimi Hendrix’s Purple Haze, either works for us)!

The 400LG, now known as the Aurora Borealis Green Bullet Space Pen, comes from our love and admiration for the Northern Lights phenomenon, often seen in parts of Alaska, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, among others. This pen’s bright green finish is the perfect nod to the wondrous green hues that shimmer and swirl across the cold Northern skies.

The original Bullet Space Pen was conceived in July of 1948. Paul Fisher was soon machining a new pen design shaped from solid aluminum. It became our first Fisher ball point pen, the 400 Bullet Pen, and arguably the most popular pen of the twentieth century. This pen is now all brass with a translucent coloured finish.

Cited as an outstanding example of industrial art, the classic design of the Fisher Bullet Pen has been exhibited for years in the New York Museum of Modern Art. The Bullet's timeless styling has been the topic of many art books and magazine articles. Often imitated, but never duplicated, the Fisher Bullet continues to be our most popular pen.
